Robust evaluation of various AAC systems. ACP will work with you to determine the most cost-efficient pathway for obtaining an AAC device as durable medical equipment (DME).
INTEGRATED AAC/LANGUAGE TREATMENT
Already have an AAC device but unsure how to really use it? Together, we will work towards functional communication goals to build upon or maintain current communication skills.
DEVICE PERSONALIZATION
Programming assistive technology can be overwhelming! ACP is here to help. While many AAC systems come with many pre-programmed symbols, sometimes there are buttons that are just not readily available. ACP can program meaningful phrases, preferred foods, family members. Visual modifications, environmental controls and message banking services are also available.
CAREGIVER & RELATED SERVICE PROVIDER CONSULTATIONS
Do you or your loved one's need support with learning how to implement an AAC system? ACP works with caregivers, teachers, therapists and medical professionals to ensure that everyone feels comfortable with using the device. Together, we will work towards functional communication goals to ensure that the AAC system is implemented effectively across communication partners and settings.
