About Alanna Harrison

Alanna Harrison, MS, CCC-SLP/TSSLD, BCS-AAC is a licensed speech-language pathologist and certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) in New York. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).​

Alanna earned her master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University. As a Board Certified AAC Specialist (BCS-AAC) through the American Board of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, she brings expertise in supporting individuals who rely on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to express themselves and connect with others. Alanna has had the opportunity to work with pediatric and adult AAC users across diverse settings, including Boston Children’s Hospital Augmentative Communication Center, The Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders, Roosevelt Children’s Center, Playwell Social and Manhattan Star Academy. In addition to her clinical work, Alanna serves as a Clinical Educator at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she teaches an applied course in AAC.

Passionate about personalized and client-centered care, Alanna is dedicated to equipping individuals with the communication tools they need to thrive. She values interdisciplinary collaboration with caregivers, educators, therapists, and medical professionals to ensure that AAC is used confidently and effectively across environments.
